This is Neville wearing his requested "Thanatos" mech costume made of cardboard and toilet paper rolls and spray paint. That's several evenings of cutting, gluing and spray painting (*cough cough*) in the basement. He's practicing walking before we head out to score candy. They were a huge hit and reasonably robust costumes, except Nev had a knee blow out requiring a repair crew with white glue and duct tape.

I teared up a little when I saw this. The Mechwarrior series was a big part of my childhood, I’m so happy to see that someone else remembers it too.
Also, the other kid’s costume looks like the legs of a Mad Cat, but the feet are a bit different… which mech is it exactly?
